Commercial Description:
A deep golden-orange hue provides the backdrop for a well-balanced, medium bodied ale. Hop flavor and aroma are distinctly American with a spicy, citrus finish.

As Mackinac Summer Ale. It’s a nice, red copper color and the head is golden and creamy. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt and fruity hops. The flavour has a light sweetness and a light, dry citrus and notes of malt, caramel and light fruit. It’s uncomplicated and pleasant to drink.

Aroma of hops, malt. Flavor has some mild hops, but it reminds me mostly of a classic.

355 ml bottle. Labelled Mackinac Summer Ale. Copper colour. Crystal clear. Medium-sized white fine-laced head. Nutty caramel aroma with a Belgian dusty zing (likely because it is a little old. BBF 2008-09-24). Medium-bodied. Caramel flavours and crisp hop flavours. The caramel is slightly burnt. High carbonation level. Finishes with a metallic hop bitterness. Nice pale ale, but possibly even better when fresh.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Comes as "Michigan Mackinac Summer Ale". Clear warm dark amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body with caramel and fruits and a fairly hoppy finish. 180808

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, small white floamy head. Aroma is zest, mild spices and some grassyness. Some mild toffee and breadyness lurking in the background as it gets slightly warmer. Flavour is malts, grass and some mild fruity and flowery hops. The grassyness is quite dry and biting, and turns into a rather earthy/grassy mildly fruity thing in the finish. Long grassy and zesty aftertaste. Semidry palate. A standard US APA.
