Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Warehouse Liquors in Duluth, Minnesota. Pours a clear dark copper amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a bubbly film top and white ring. Aroma of toasted caramel malt with some roasted nuts, touch of chocolate and some biscuit dough. Taste is medium bodied, well-carbonated with a toasted multi-grain malt with some roasted nuts and dried figs. Finish is slightly dry, metallic with a citrus and malt aftertaste. A solid beer but nothing special.

Slight malted nose, nothing more. Clear ruby brown in color with a decent tan head. Small malted caramel favor with a tiny warming end. Slight frothy on the palate. A fine brown ale that is more mellow than a standout in the flavor department. If you don’t like aggressive micro’s, you probably would like this brown ale.

12oz bottle. Toasted nut, bread dough, toffee and caramel malt on the nose. Pours clear brown amber with a big, rocky khaki head. Lots of doughy malt on the tongue. Some toasted nuts and earthy hops. Medium bodied. Nothing great but not offensive.

draft. nutty, caramel aroma leads into the flavor. there was an element of chocolate in the first few sips that was pleasantly surprising. nice healthy malt body and a mild bitter hop to finish. a solid nut brown for sure. i’m surprised at the ratings. its dynamic and clean tasting - should be well into the 3’s imo.

(Tap @ Tuba Charliels Travelers Club, Okemes, MI): Pours a clearish brown color. Whitish head. Somewhat nutty aroma, some hops.

12 oz bottle from Dansting. Pour is ruby red brown with a big dirty white head. Clear pour. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, with a slight bit of fruit (apple?) Taste has the sweet caramel plue a really nice roastiness to it. Nice medium to full body, yet is very smooth and drinkable. I appreciate you lugging these beers back for me Dan.

(12oz bottle) Enormous rocky tan head atop clear copper-brown body laden with particulates. Aroma is medium sweet, nut/caramel, bread, some earthy/floral, chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, chococoffee, roast, nut, light floral/earthy, faint tin. Smooth medium body.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours brown with a small off-white head, which fades away rather quickly leaving not very much lacing. The aroma has hints of coffee. The flavor is slightly nutty and bready as the discription says, with hints of coffee in the finish, but one thing that I can not get over is a metalic taste. The body is medium with fizzy carbonation. Overall this is allright, if you can get past the metallic taste.
