Commercial Description:
A Suburban Wheat Ale
Our same great wheat with a new name. The Wheat is brewed with approximately 50% wheat malt and 50% malted barley. The flavor of this brew is very well balanced meaning it is neither malty (sweet) or hoppy (bitter) like most of Finn’s beers, with the exception of raspberry extract added to the finished product. This is great beer to begin with if you haven't had a micro-brewed beer.

On tap at the Mickey Finn Brew Pub. Poured a medium golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas and tastes of wheat, grainy, and some citrus in the tastes. Thinner body.

On draught at the brewpub: This poured a clear, pale yellow color with a slender white head that rapidly vanishes. The aroma is fairly faint, but is somewhat grassy with a yeasty fruitiness to it. Medium-bodied, it has a refreshing banana and bubble gum taste. The finish is short and sweet. This is definitely good for the Summer.

Sample at the brewpub. Sweetish, slightly lemony nose, hazy and dull colored, sweet, simple flavor.

Growler courtesy of a travelling colleague. Pours a dark golden color with tiny bubbles. Medium foamy white head that stays pretty well. Thin, patchy lacing. Aroma of wheat and light malt. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation, with subtle wheat and sweet fruit flavors. Some malt as well. Nothing comes through very strong but at the same time the interplay between the airy flavors is somewhat pleasing. Not a great beer but intriguues me to try their other offerings.

Very refreshing and clean like a classic pilsner. Decent carbonation and a great wheat and barley nose and good hop spicyness.

Clear golden with a frothy white head. Nice aroma is tart wheat and bready yeast. Medium bodied. Decent flavor is tart wheat with a pale malt and citrusy sweetness. Another nice hot weather beer from Finns.

Transparent and pale golden copper in color with a quarter’s width of grey foam for the head. Saffron, vanilla and caramelized wheat lead the nose. A touch of smooth butternut squash and cloves meet a citric lemon zest in the distance. Light fairing flavor of herbal vanilla fabric sheets join with buttered and hardened croissants. Green marigolds and banana buttered danishes stroll dolefully in the background. Effervescence being moderate and the body as downright light don’t dissuade this one from being world’s better than the brewery’s other session wheat. Soapiness settles in with cotton for a clean wheat treat in its afterlife.

Very clear with no unfiltered wheat in suspension. Little to no head, with a barely identifiable scent that is reminiscent of a Miller Lite. Bright, clean taste. Slightly yeasty, but not enough to be considered a wheat. This is more like a pale lager, and I don’t like pale lagers.
