Body is watery, almost nothing and largely uninspiring. The hops lend an alcohol/scotch like bite that with the oxidation is the centerpiece of this beer, and not a pleasing one. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2006 Cask conditioned at pub: Clean amber hue with a nice creamy head and excellent lace. The aroma has notes of grapefruit, apple, biscuity and grainy malts, and dusty yeast ester. The taste is piney and citric hops bitterness over a base of caramel and pale malts. Lingering astringent bitters on the dry finish. The mouth feel is smooth and has good body for the style. Not too shabby, a very drinkable brew on hand-pull. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Large long-lasting white head with clear amber color. Light nutty and citrus hoppy aroma. Light creamy body that starts off with a dryish nutty malty flavor and ends with a bitter hoppy finish of average duration. An enjoyable beer that stands up nicely against foods with garlic and hot spices. I bought a growler and enjoyed it at home with dinner. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA

A subtle hop aroma with a very thin body. Even with the lasting head the body was weak. Nice taste but not much else to recomend.
