Ughsmash (2958), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 26, 2007 Poured a clear medium amber with a creamy white head and some lacing as it went down. The aroma was quite odd.. picking up green tea along with English toffee and some vegetal notes. Flavor found a toffee base and a strange array of dry sugars.. the green tea shows up again (especially the dryness).. vegetal notes hit on the back-end.. floral bitterness accents the finish. Lighter-bodied and rather dry on the palate with moderate bitterness. Did not care for this. holdenn (1138), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 18, 2007 On tap. Pours amber color with a tall beige head. Light aroma of carmel malt and hops precede the light flavors of carmel. Too light in aroma, flavor, and body. I’ve had enough. vyvvy (1607), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Apr 12, 2007 Sampled at Schlafly’s Repeal of Prohibition Fest. Pours orange / copper with a beige sudsy head. The aroma has musty caramel malt. Medium body with a fair amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with grainy caramel malt and light butter. The finish adds some spice and earthiness. An acceptable ESB, but nothing wonderful. jpm30 (1585), East Central, Georgia, USA Apr 11, 2007 Sampled at the Schlafly "Repeal Of Prohibition" beer festival, the description stated that this was a Beatles inspired ESB, so I had to try it. The malts were a bit thin, toasted grain with a light caramel, a hint of nutty butteriness, lemony fruitiness and a earthy bitterness to this copper coloured, medium bodied ESB, pleasant enough drinkability. I would like to try the cask version of this sometime. At the festival this was called Lords ESB
