Just a wonderful example of an American brewed Hefe-Weizen. Mild soapy taste with a wonderful aftertase and mild bitterness. Goes great with the Mickey Finn's atmosphere and food. Best Hefe-Weizen I've ever had...even better than Paulaner.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Libertyville, Illinois. Cloudy, light orange pour with a thick, foaming white head, spicey orange nose, with lots of berries, bananas and lemon throughout. Finished very smooth. Outstanding!

Re-rate: lots of carbonation with little flavor, not as good as I remember from 2 years ago.Wow is this good. They pour this into a traditional wheat glass and it deserves it. A cloudy honey color with a medium white head. Aroma is large: bananas, cloves, wheat, and bubblegum. Taste if full and rich with a lasting aftertaste. The best they offer here.

On tap at the Mickey Finn Brew Pub. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, light wheat, and citrus. Tastes of bananas, cloves, bubble gum, and citrus.

On tap at the pub: The clarity of the yellow body is the only major flaw of this beer. Nice foamy white head. The aroma is of lemon grass and banana with a whiff of subtle spiciness. This is very soft in the mouth. It’s got a nice clean banana flavor with cloves and a dollop of lemony acidity. Very refreshing drink.

Sample at the brewpub. Lightly hazy, honeyish look...gorgeous big banana nose with some vanilla and pepper. Big fruity flavor, lots of malt, no bitterness, perhaps a might yeasty towards the end.

Cloudy straw colored body. Sweet bubblegum and wheat malt base with toasted banana and clove highlights. Pretty similar aroma. Above-average mouthfeel in terms of viscosity. Toasty finish. Not a bad hefe.
