esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2009 On tap at the Great Lakes Brewfest 2009. Hazy witbier yellow with a medium white crown. Aroma of standard witbier fare – fruit peel, mild coriander and light yeast mixed with something a bit off. Taste of coriander, orange peel and spice, very light tasting. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Sep 9, 2006 From the tap with the new name of Katarina Wit (Clever - How long ago since the last time she skated?) - This was pretty thin as wits go. It’s got a slightly hazy, pale straw body with a foamy head that evaporates quickly. The aroma is a slightly tart wheat with yeast and the suggestion of spices. Even fewer spices in the taste, just a yeasty wheat ale.

NachlamSie (1630), Tennessee, USA Aug 16, 2006 Draught under the moniker "Katarina Wit" during my Great Lakes region brew tour. Pours cloudy white with a foamy head. Yeah, this is the whitest beer I’ve ever seen, it almost looks like spoiled heavy cream. There’s some skunky yeasty aromas and a far-off fruit sweetness. Bananas are much more apparent in the mouth along with a wheaty, cereal finish with cloves. This is like a slightly sour banana popsicle melted into a glass. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 12, 2006 Now called Katarina Wit (boo!): White pale yellow with a lasting frothy head. The aroma has notes of orange peel, lemon zest, clove, bubblegum, and wheat. The taste is a puckery citric flavor with muted spices in addition to pale malts an wheat. The feel is fizzy and watery, average for the genre. An okay summer beer. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Oct 21, 2003 Updated: Nov 29, 2003This looked great in the tulip glass they served it in. A hazy orange tinged gold with a large lasting creamy white head. A spicy( corander, mace) orange aroma. Taste was more subdued than the aroma, perhaps because they served this one so cold it took awhile to warm up, yeast, oranges and spices. Slightly sweet very enjoyable beer, was surprised to see it at this time of year.
