redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Dec 10, 2006 I thought I detected some Saaz in the aroma and taste. It was a mildly spicy dark amber colored beer. Fairly sweet taste, not a bad dubbel. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Mar 2, 2006 Strong, Belgian yeasts drift up from a light-hazed vermillion brew with a thin, creamy, tan head that is soon just a skin. Great smoked character in the nose with defined banana and a whomp of esters. Smooth and full-bodied with a lingering banana flavor but without an astringent recourse from the alcohol which simply dries. Well-made.
