Cletus (5044), Connecticut, USA Oct 14, 2009 Pours amber with a large white head. Smells of wheat, some citrus, lemon, coriander, spicy. Tastes spicy and citrussy with some coriander bites and a sweet, grassy finish. Rciesla (3560), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Mar 4, 2009 BOMBER. Pours an orange golden body with a white frothy head. Wheat driven flavors of honey, lemon grass, citrus, hay, and some light spices. A moderate etoh warming. Full bodied with some earthy hoppiness. Solid. tomthompson89 (1465), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 1, 2009 At the brewery on tap. deep golden almost amber. nice little bit of foam, nose is lemon with some almost marmalade notes, and some yeast and spices.
flavor is similar with wheat booze marmalade and lemon rind....interesting craftycarl21 (518), South Hero, Vermont, USA Dec 15, 2008 Pours a murky copper with orange notes, much like tannin. Aroma of hops, citrus, and some sweet maltiness. Flavor is similar to the aroma, with more malt and some definite spice elements. Aroma isn’t anything special, but quite drinkable. Quite a tasty brew. oteyj (722), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours amber peach copper. Lots of lacing and great head. Aroma is toffee, caramel and lots of citrus. Flavor is much the same- lots of citrus and sweetness. Palate is full and slightly carbonated. Nice beer overall. Ughsmash (3999), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bomber. Poured translucent light orangey-golden with a whipped cap of white head and sticky lacing as it descended. The aroma picked up oranges and honeysuckle with grapefruit and tangy wheat accents.. sweet, strong, and interesting. The flavor opened with bitter grassy and citrus notes from the head, followed closely by orange meat and pale malts across the middle.. the edges were covered with bitter and slightly abrasive hay and pine notes amplified by peppery alcohol.. finished dry and not too pleasant. Medium-plus bodied with a thicker feel on the palate.. carbonation was lively and too much at times.. never really flowed right. Decent drinker overall. jimhilt (1670), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Jun 29, 2008 Pours a five+ finger thick, pillowy cream head (pour this one slowly) that takes forever to fade and leaves a good lace. Cloudy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Citric nose. Flavor is sweet wheat and citric. Grapefruit finish. $4.99 for a 22oz bottle from Yankee Spirits South Attleboro, Ma. MatSciGuy (630), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Apr 1, 2008 [bottle] From an IPA fan, this beer was really good. Had a lot more hops than I was expecting both on the nose and in the flavor. Poured a cloudy gold with a large whitish head. Very tasty.
