Sweet banana cream and sugary donut cream nose, with lemon and fluffy marshmallow scents. Heavy on the palate, but really smooth and milky. Heavy creamed wheat flavors, lighter lemon and banana notes. 8.5% for a wheat I thought would be overwhelming but actually it is really, really good – not boozy at all, not too thick, not sharp – instead it’s sticky, sweet upfront, lightly tart from the yeast, smooth and delicious. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 12, 2007 Partly cloudy golden-blonde body with a small white head. Crisp body with honeyed wheat complete with orange peels and clementine flavours. 8.5% is apparent. Carbonation is a bit too heavy. Decent amount of citric hops that seem to add more to the tartness than the bitterness. Refreshing despite the apparent alcohol. An American Wheat with a Belgian Strong feel to it. A easy to drink but not memorable crowd pleaser. Middle OfTheRoad 11th Anniversary Double Wheat. thornecb (1779), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Pours dark gold into a tumbler. Off-white head quickly subsides to skim surface. Coriander and alcohol aromas. Sweet caramel upfront which quickly turns sour into a lasting bitter finish. Sour/bitter/alcohol lasts quite a while. Alcohol is definitely tasted and felt. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA

The taste is mostly wheat malt with some definite alcohol presence. Radek Kliber (3951), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance :Amber gold wheat with fine haze , poured smallish top.
Aroma:Strong , soap like hops , west coast hop character that overpowers wheat accent, rosy and citric. Flavour/Palate: A lot happening here. Citric hops, fruity touches . Green bitters float till very end. Sweet malts and wheat are present but they play secondary role . Soft, smooth warming alcohol. Neat brew.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Grapefruity hops and tight cereals coalesce with the wheat’s leveled tartness. Well built and well organized, this is a strong yet drinkable pint of Americana worthy of a celebration.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the hazy blond.
-Alcohol warms up the back end, but doesn’t step on any flavors.
-Carbonation remains comfortable while managing to lift most flavors.
-Dry hay emerges from the maltiness.
