dark gold, whispy white head that can be roused into producing a bit of lace, big sweet malt aroma with nice fruity character and a hint of citrus, lots of sweet malt flavor, lots of good spicy character, nice light lasting bitterness, very nice balance, a bit of tartness shows up in the finish after warming

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle sampled on 11/8/06: Pours a well-carbonated clear copper bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Floral grapefruity hoppy aroma has some mild wheat and pale malty character. Body starts fairly full with a big, tart grapefruity hoppiness and semi-sweet wheaty character. Not bad for a "double" American wheat. hopscotch (5490), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Grapefruity hops and tight cereals coalesce with the wheat’s leveled tartness. Well built and well organized, this is a strong yet drinkable pint of Americana worthy of a celebration.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the hazy blond.
-Alcohol warms up the back end, but doesn’t step on any flavors.
-Carbonation remains comfortable while managing to lift most flavors.
-Dry hay emerges from the maltiness.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2006 Tap at Barcade. Slightly hazy pale golden beer with a thick pillowy head. Sticky and lingering. Incredibly perfumey aroma, coriander, lemon peel, light peppery ethanol, intense wheaty character and a fragrant, perfumey spicy nose. Falvour is quite peppery, with overtones of apricot, peach and yeasty spice. Herbal bitterness cuts through what might be cloyingly sweet. Nice wheat wine style beer with an interesting intensely yeasty component.
