Aroma shows a bit of soft leather, heavy blackberry fruitiness and a soft sweet dried fruitiness as well. Some raisin and licorice. Heavy roast on the back. Sweet throughout with a rich sticky palate. A bit fruitier than I’d like, but it’s pretty damn tasty. Grandpa (325), Verona, New York, USA

The rich, burnt malt flavor comes through first. The hops come in slowly to provide a balance to the initial sweetness. Full-bodied flavor with a silky smooth mouth feel. As strong as a good stout. The head lasted till the bottom of the pour. Tanker12 (123), USA
