Perfumy apricot aroma, lightly soapish. Fresh grassy malt taste with some of the apricot coming clearly in the finale with the hops, a bit of an oily mouthfeel. Light bodied. Quaffable summer beer. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Nose is nothin’ but apricots, and there’s nothin’ wrong with that. Flavor a letdown though; again not much but the fruit, and that is not all that strong or fresh. A bit sour at the end. Not too impressed with this brewery so far... jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is very fruity, apricots, touch of yeast. Flavour is similar, muted malt is overshadowed by dominant fruit, apricots. Very light bitterness. Average palate. Okay, I am not particularly an apricot beer fan. On tap at the brewery ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA

Nose of strawberries and peaches. Flavour is more peachy to my palate than apricot but none the less this is not that bad. I would definitely be able to drink this on a hot day. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Dec 13, 2003 A slightly bitter, not that sweet, apricot ale that's somewhat light on the apricot flavor. Try Magic Hat #9 if you want a good apricot ale, or Melbourne Brothers if you want a fantastic one (at $9/bottle, I might add!). Like the rest of Middle Ages' lineup - fairly unremarkable. notalush (2682), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 4, 2004 Based on experience with their other beers, I wasn't expecting much from this at all, so I suppose my low standards for this brewery helped me to enjoy this ale a little more - cloudy golden with a huge head (I had to suck the rising foam from the top of the glass several times) - aroma is dominated my, you guessed it, apricots - flavor is quite similar to Magic Hat #9, but lacking much character (not that #9 is great or anything) - only a touch of apricot is evident, and the rest of the flavor is somewhat ho-hum - there is a surprising creaminess, especially in the finish, that makes the beer a bit more enjoyable - decent ale. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Lightly hazy, light brown body with quick creamy off-white head. Lots of sweet apricot and fruit flavour. Medium body. Nice and refreshing, judging from the ratings here it looks like it may have improved slightly.
