Aroma is apple, caramel, some hops, and a bunch of butterscotch. Flavor is a bit fruity, strong butterscotch, and ends with a decent bitter and spicy hoppiness. Medium bodied, quite dry ending. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2003 Dark golden appearance with a good thick white head - good lacing. Has a bit of a phenholic aroma to it though. Decent bitter flavor with the right amount of fuggles hops. Would make a good session ale - even though the ABV is a little high for that. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 19, 2003 Interesting, but disappointing, to some degree. Aroma is borderline chemical or plastic, as with their Tripel. Good color, highschool art project label. Chemical, overbrewed hops, somewhat tannic. Lightly sweet. Needs work, but it's at least interesting. JohnC (2281), Mission Viejo, California, USA
