| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 12, 2009 Orangey gold. Nose is a little lemon, butter, some green hoppiness, English malt. More bitterness than the nose lets on, with toffee & caramels to balance. Very tingly carbonation. jb (1057), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Audible pop when bottle opened, pour was very heavy head, mostly head in fact, like when a homebrew is primed too much. As head dissipates it is rocky with a decent lacing. Grainy aroma, a bit of pine. Palate is toffee with some dry resinous notes. Decent. tomthompson89 (1489), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Bottle: Pours a hazy deep copper amber with a fizzy fading off white head. Earthy nose with some odd esters, softly sweet crystal malt notes, and a mild herbal hint. The palate is nice with soft/rounded carbonation. Nice British feel to the flavor. Toasted biscuit malt character with a mild caramelized sweetness precedes a nice hop character which incorporates both American and British varieties. Some fruity suggestions of sweet orange-like citrus notes and a touch of mustiness from the yeast. The finish is mildly peppery hand has a flowery dryness into the late palate. A nice interpretation of a British Bitter. Slightly underrated in my opinion. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 9, 2008 This is a very nice brew. The hop aroma just jumps out at you, with a nice full bouquet. There is also some nail polish like esters. It’s appearance is moderate amber, with a full fluffy white head, which faides slowly into a nice decent thin head. It’s flavor is nice with a bit of moderatly sweet malts and nice moderate hop bite. It is rather smooth a nice lingering taste in the mouth, with a dry feeling. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 6, 2008 Desired bottle from dchmela - thanks! Caramel and fruity overtones on this gusher, lightly bready with some nice spicy and herbal hop goodness. Honey and faint apple juice. Hazy copper gradient pour with a sticky, lacing beige head. Firm, hard bitterness with some caramel and very English yeast contributions, a little stale and over-watered, swells with a little too much carbonation. Lacks that drinkability quality that is essentially for a good Bitter.
