Pour is pitch black with a rapidly fading brown head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee. Flavor is more coffee and chocolate with decent hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Decent brew.

Bomber from JCB - thanks Jason! Black with a foamy brown head. Sweet nose of chocolate and prune, plus a rum-raisin-like note. Bittersweet flavors of chocolate and grapefruit, some mild coffee. Body is on the thin side of medium. Finish is chocolate and grapefruit, mildly dry. Not bad!

Probably the most interesting imperial stout I have had in a while. The unusual roasted qualities here make it one to remember. Nice to drink, but personally I like this style to lean more towards the malty, chocolate, and coffee side. Still a decent enough one to go for.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted malt, and some lactic character. The flavor is dominated by roasted coffee, and is pretty acidic. The lactic aspect is somewhat unique, but not helpful.

Deep opaque black-brown body, thick dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and fruitskin, perhaps a touch of marshmallow. Rich. Strong cocoa body, burnt, charred roasted malts, and a touch of licorice. Light sweetness leads to a burnt leaf finish. Rather soft body with subtle heft. This reminds me a lot of Arcadia’s Imperial Stout, though a tad more bitter in the finish. A refreshing take on the style, and a solid beer.

Bottle poured into a tulip glass produced a jet black in color brew. With a finger worth of tan head that’s settles to a nice lace. The Aromas of roasted malts, chocolate, and a good amount of hops filled my head. Medium to heavy mouthfeel with ok carbonation .The flavor is almost burnt not really roasted malt there is a great hops finish. a good balanced stout flavor wise . For the price $ 4.99 this is not a bad Imperial Stout and easy to drink to boot

Black in colour with brown coloured sediment, brown head, initially large, lingering, good lacing. The aroma is roasty, sweet, some coffee, light alochol and lots of chocolate. The flavour has lots of chocolate again, noticable hops, very malty, burnt and roasty, some alcohol and quite sweet. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/large body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, burnt with some sweet chocolate. Not bad, seems to lack some punch. A bit too sweet for my imperial stout tastes, too thin at the very end.

Tasting Date: 9/25/2007 Pure black with a nice head. Coffee, chocolate and slight fruit taste. Felt unbalanced. Flavors level d out as the beer warmed. Enjoyable beer experience.
