Poured black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, some roastiness with a bit of bubble gum sort of setting it off. Taste is heavy coffee with more bubble gum, but in this case the coffee came through better and was quite pleasant. Sweet, roasty, pretty good.

Moderate viscosity, opaque and a solid jet black color with a tiny tan wisp for the head. Semi-sweet chocolate nodes roll out the aroma, partnering with Hershey syrup, caramel cola, bakers chocolate slabs and singed oatmeal. Heavy, dry and burnt introduction to the palate. Flame scorched pecans, meet semi-sweet chocolate morsels. Spent espresso grinds intermingling with dark chocolate crumbs. Other elementals point to tiramisu crust with 10 times the amount of requisite coffee that the recipe calls for. Arid but heavy feel on the palate and fairly fuller bodied. Formidable hop bitterness skews the balance and is amplified with the addition of blackened, ashen traces. Finish is like licking the espresso tin instead of a cup of coffee in the morning. Thanks for the bottle, Clark!

Appears black with a small tan head and lots of scattered lacing left around the glass. Smell is of butter, caramel, dark fruit, a touch of bitter chocolate, and a touch of alcohol present in the aromas. Taste is of the same aromas. Mouthfeel is slightly thin with bitter chocolate standing out on the palate.

Thanks to weeare138. Deep ruddy brown body with noticeable gravity and a thick brown head. Aroma of alcohol, rum raisin, burnt chocolate, and caramel. Well-roasted, charred grain flavor with some butter. Substantial aspirin bitterness, tending toward astringent. Oddly thinner and somewhat drier than expected. Over-roasted, hot and not particularly well-crafted.

22oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a dark black color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of dark fruits, caramel, roasted malts, light butter (not detracting though) and some alcohol. Tastes of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate, and light alcohol. Thinner body.

Poured an opaque black color with a medium sized, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla beans, light butter, and alcohol as well. Taste of more roasted malts and chocolate, light butter here as well, and some alcohol in the finish. Also rather thin for an Imperial Stout.

Thanks to weeare138. Pours a dark black with a small tan head. Aroma of fruits, hops, caramel and some milk chocolate. Also picked up some butter as well. Flavor of cocoa and just a little buttery. Still a solid Imp. Stout.

This beer pours a onyx color that leaves no chance of seeing through it. It leaves a thick brown lace that sticks to the glass giving you the perception it might have some sweetness. The appearance is so delicious, clear, and smooth. As I lift this glass to my nose chocolate, nutmeg, brown sugar, roasted nuts all come out. With no smell of alcohal to be found. The taste is spectcular, the bitterness of the hops come out. it tastes like roasted bitter herbs followed by a hint of dark chocolate with only the faintest essence of burnt coffee in the aftertaste. Overall this beer is very crisp, sharp, with no hint of sweetness throughout the beer. A good RIS
