22 oz bottle, via lukin013. Pours a flat black body with a rather large fizzy foamy brown head. Lots of lacing. The nose is dry and roasty with some bitter chocolate and coffee. Very roasty flavor, so roasty that it crosses over into where it becomes burnt and astringent. Dry, with some coffee, light smoke, and chalkiness. No perceptable alcohol. Mouthfeel is full-bodied, oily in texture, with a little clinginess on the finish. Moderate fizzy prickly carbonation. Overall, pretty decent, but a little too burnt and acrid for me.

Brown black pour with decent creamy head. Best way I can describe the smell is: WEAK! Nice flavor with burnt malt hints - but still a bit too subtle and underplayed for me. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth.

Pours pitch black, with a medium, foamy light brown head. Smells of Light roast, chocolate cream, dark malts, and maybe some vanilla oakiness. Pretty nice. The flavor is much of the same. Alot of chocolate bitterness, balanced malts and a touch of dark fruit as well. Alcohol is masked very well, barely got any heat at all. The balalnce is what is the most impressive with this brew. Not too chocolatey or roasty, with a small amount of subtle hops coming in towards the finish. Aftertaste was light chocolate cream and hops. Tasty.

This is a serious beer. Very hoppy with some smoky espresso hints. Good mouthfeel, but pretty strong alcohol taste. It is so thick it’s amazing.

Pours a color resembling, Black. Light brown creamy head with good lace. Oaky vanilla, milk chocolate and caramel dominate with some licorice spice and bit of alcohol smell. Smoky burnt chocolate, mole, coffee, black licorice, oaky vanilla, sweet caramel and charcoal smoke. Excellent smooth and creamy mouthfeel; medium-bodied. A bit smoky and a tad light in body, but a great Imperial Stout.

Pours black dark with a light head of tan color. Smell is dark fruit and licorice with some roastiness as well. Taste is roasty bitter, and burnt flavors with some licorice. Bubbly mouthfeel with a medium to light botdy for the style, I thought. A bit warming from the alcohol but it’s hidden well in the taste. Solid beer.
