A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet with very strong notes of prunes, while the flavor is sweet malty with the strongest component being chocolate, but also with notes of coffee.

Clear medium to dark black color with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light brown head. Aroma is light heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt, coffee, overripped raisin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and heavy burnt malt bitter with a long long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091031]

A Mes rate. Bottle at Borefts 10am day after hotel tasting.
Fully black with a tan head. Plenty of thick luscious malt, good roasty notes, lashings of coffee and some late bitterness that lasts considerably. Straight down the line but good.
