Commercial Description:
An epic barleywine, made in the tradition of British Farmhouse Brewing. Lavished with a velvety blend of six different malts this is a warming beer with a lush mouthfeel. The complexities your discriminating palate will detect are ever changing as this barleywine matures. When young, an assertive hop character predominates and with age the beauty of the big malt balance unfolds.

12oz bottle via trade with Shadey! - Thanks Shane! - Pours brownish amber with a nice fluffy tan head that fades back to a film but laces some from there. Good citrus grapefruit and pine hop aroma over big caramel malts. Flavor is caramel, toffee, grapefruit, some orange, pine. Quite hopped up for a barleywine which I liked. Full bodied but enough carbonation and the alcohol is covered. This is a solid Barley Wine in my opinion and one that I’d certainly drink again. This might be a little underrated I think..

This is my favorit brew from my closest brewery. This is also my favorite barley wine. Most barley wines are very heavy, this is full bodied without being oily or syrupy. I bought a growler at the brewery and shared it with my son-in-law. When I left his house my Irish son-in-law was leaving to get a growler of his own. It is dark amber with an half inch yellow head. Good balance between sweet and hops excellent mouth feel.

Bottle. Pours copperish brown with a disappointing head. Caramel, toffee, and spicy hop aroma. Flavor of caramel, nuts, tea. A little fizzy on the tongue. Spicy hop finish, which lingers at the back of the mouth like you sucked a tea bag. A lot going on, but not harmoneous.

Pours a dark chestnut brown with a pretty dew body that leaves a spotchy tan head that disappears. The nose is sour, funky with a cooked sugar sweetness, floural hops with a strong malty background. The taste starts bitter upfront, strong hop and alcohal backdrop but balanced with a slight caramel sweetness. Nice barleywine good interpretation one that I will def go back to.

Floral, hoppy, perfumey butterscotch aroma. Opaque tan body topped by a low off white head that recedes to swirling cover. Butterscotch is strong in the flavour with grassy, citrus hop flavours and moderate bitterness. Medium body with fair carbonation. Bottle (trade, May-05) sampled with MartinT, Olivier_MTL, Rastacouere and Siroy. Thanks jah noth!

Robe cuivrée très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche mince qui s’estompe. Arômes de houblon amérisant résineux et citronné, de diacétyl et de fruits. Saveurs de levure, de dyacétyle, de malt caramélisé et d’alcool.

Golden colour with a frothy off-white head. Caramel and fruit aroma with light alcohol notes. Lightish body for the style is the first impression upon tasting, to go along with orange, pine, woody, light caramel, and other citrus flavours. Medium bodied but still syrupy.
