Sweet malt aromas of caramel, white grapes, prunes and over ripe berries. Tastes of sweet maltiness with a warm alcohol kick. Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected and I cannot discern any hop flavors, both probably due to age. A nicely aged barley wine that I would definitely hope to try fresh as well.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 For some reason the perfume-like flavors strike me as lavender-tasting in a pool of hops, caramel malt and floral bouquet flavors. The body seems well structured. The bitter hoppy nature I associate with this brand is here. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
