May 6, 2007 2004 Vintage, Pours dark copper to muddy brown in color and quite cloudy. Sweet malt aromas of caramel, white grapes, prunes and over ripe berries. Tastes of sweet maltiness with a warm alcohol kick. Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected and I cannot discern any hop flavors, both probably due to age. A nicely aged barley wine that I would definitely hope to try fresh as well.

Apr 13, 2007 For some reason the perfume-like flavors strike me as lavender-tasting in a pool of hops, caramel malt and floral bouquet flavors. The body seems well structured. The bitter hoppy nature I associate with this brand is here.

Apr 11, 2007 Light hazy amber colour with an off white head. Malty, caramel and alcohol sweet aroma with a hoppy pine needle note. Malty, alcohol sweet flavour with notes of caramel and hops. Dry and sweet finish.
