Bottle: This beer poured an amber red with a thin head that fizzed away quickly. It smelled of malts and hops. Kind of tasted like a massed produced beer, slightly watered down with not much flavor. It had hints of carmel and toffee. I wouldn’t buy this one again.

Ugh...Nose of cheesecake and body of blah. Some uneven hop character. It’s a nice clear amber in the glass but compared to some of their ofther brews this one is a big pass.

Great dark brown amber beer. Lots of amber malt notes, perfectly balanced and smooth. Great beer for anyone, even if you arent typically into Ambers.

Pours a clear but dark ruby tinted amber with a huge light tan head off a very aggressive pour. Nose is apple, sugar, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is slightly bitter with a caramel edge. Nice hearty aftertaste stays with you. Feel is slick on the liquid and lower on the bubble. Overall fairly robust and deep, it is worth trying.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber red body with thin head. Aroma is buttery, light malts and hops. Flavor is slightly bitter, very buttery, odd hop flavor. Not good.

12 oz bottle from variety pack. A cloudy deep amber color, along with an off white color head, a very suitable Pale Ale. I can’t get as detailed as the last review, but I did like it. It’s nice to see a beer that doesn’t look like every other PA. Some very distinct flavors going on here make this quite unique. Don’t think I’d get it again as I like the darker brews, but I’ll enjoy the other 2 bottles in this pack.

He last survivor of the BIF 30 package from Wren, the Grail Ale poured over carbonated, with a large head making it hard to get more than 8 ounces in a pint glass in one shot. Underlying all that foam was a amber colored beer with a clear body. The smell was fruity with a touch of oak as well. The taste was blander than hoped, as the mild apple flavor was followed by an herbal bitterness and a tart dryness. This was likely brewed with the house strain of Ringwood yeast, since I could detect some of that oily and buttery aftertaste. A little too watery for the style. May be better classified as an ESB.
