| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a large fizzy white diminishing head. Aroma of floral hops, green apples, grapefruit, sweet malt and spices. Yup, I dig that hoppy aroma. Flavour is hoppy and citrusy with some sweet malt. Moderately bitter palate. Hops are very well balanced with malt. A very enoyable IPA. Ron (1035), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 9, 2005 Had this at the Flour City Brew Fest. OK, I was kind of wasted by the time I had this one, but it was still too hoppy for me. jcr (1179), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 8, 2005 Seemed overly sweet for an IPA. Strong on fruit flavors and toffee with only a hint of hops at the end. Poured orange with a small head. This is not what I think of when I think of IPA. OldGrowth (1431), North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Bottle, from Julio’s. Good nose, sweet. Fruity, apricot, butterscotch, spruce. Clean orange color, small head that faded slowly to a ring. Bittersweet flavors Butterscotch/toffee, lemon/grapefruit, spruce. Medium body, lite creamy/oily mouthfeel, metallic bitter finish. Aroma was best part, which made the flavor disappointing. Such a difference. Like the X and Wailing Wench better. jb (1056), Rochester, New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 26, 2005 Clear, dull orange body with a sudsy white head. Prominent diacetyl in the aroma. Smells like burnt popcorn butter. Also has notes of floral and earthy hops. Flavor is sprucy with mild light toasted malt and stale tea. Semi-dry finish and medium-high bitterness combined with substantial diacetyl levels give this a mildly astringent impression. This company strikes me as more devoted to marketing than brewing high quality beer. jasonp (1513), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2005 Clear copper with a monster off-white head. Aroma of caramel, floral hops, and some apple. More of a British-style IPA. Plenty of caramel, toasted malt, floral hops, grapefruit and pear/apple. Moderately sweet, lingering bitter finish with a slight metallic tinge. Very full, round and creamy on the palate with moderate carbonation. Some lacing left on the glass, GREAT head retention. Nice stuff. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Green apples, celery, white pepper notes to the sweet, lightly tart aroma with plenty of leafy green hops. A curiously appealing aroma of burnt sawdust emerges as it warms. Hazy, orange-copperwith decent and lasting cover of fine-bubbled, white head. Slightly vegetal with spicy, orange-pine-resiny, green hops that offer a moderate biterness with underlying biscuity malts in the fairly yeasty flavour. Medium body with fairly strong carbonation that tingles the tongue and cheeks. Bottle (trade, May. 2005) sampled with Olivier_MTL. Thanks, jah noth!
