| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2008 An average offering from Middle Ages. Not a lot of hops in the aroma or flavor. Definately seems like an English rendition of the style, which is interesting considering how we have basicalyhijacked IPAs from the British and transformed the style into a more aggresively hopped ale that by Middle Age’s standards would be considered a DIPA. On that note try the Wailing Wench instead for a hoppier and all around more flavorful experience. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 20, 2008 Aroma of pale malt and some citrus hops. Flavor is decently bitter, with a hint of caramel and some rather off-putting diacetyl notes. Moderately dry finish. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

Pours transparent gold-brow with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is upfront citrus hops, then caramel and back to the hops again. Palate is tart and creamy. Turns out to be a pretty decent brew as it warms. bigrond (1053), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
