Bottle. Orange copper color with surprising good head. Strong citrus and hops...not what I expect from an east coast IPA. Good malt balance that really carried the hops well. Strong pine notes and a lemony zip too. I didn’t get popcorn like others have said. In fact, I really enjoyed this IPA.

Exactly what I expected for an IPA from this area. The play on terms mad eme giggle too. This beer goes surprisingly well with chainsaws and timber. The popcorn (right on sheatripper) is a bit that makes the head turn and go HMm but realy doesnt affect the brew at all. I feel that science and curiosity have been satisfied since I have tasted three of these in rapid sucession.

This is how it should be done. Driven through with a sword and left for dead. or to be consumed by an alchohal craving scotsman.

Bottle. Clear orange/copper with a frothy white head. Left spotty lacing. Standard IPA aroma of caramel malts and citrusy hops, though this also gave off a noticeable Multiplex popcorn butter diacetyl odor. Caramel malt and spicy grapefruit hop flavor, but with that diacetyl note poking through now and then. Bitter piney finish and aftertaste, harsh even for an IPA. Fizzy palate. This is the second consecutive bottle I’ve tried from this brewer which seems to have something wrong with it. Not eager to try any more at this point.

Large foamy white head atop an orangish colored brew. Aroma is sweet floral with notes of citrus and a bit of melted caramel. A nice roasted hops flavor with sweet malt subtly peering through and bit of a creamy warmth follows. Medium bodied and smooth with a nutty bitterness on the top of my tongue making for an odd aftertaste. A bit mellow for an IPA.

Draft at Spring Lounge. Hazy orange beer with a creamy head. Strong citrus and hop aroma, standard from an IPA, nice, but nothing special. Flavor is very hoppy and bitter, but that’s about it. No balanced sweetness or floral notes to speak of. Fresh on the palate, but maybe a bit thin and oily. Not bad, but I’m not impressed. (Note: someone told me that beers from this place are always a bit funky, so this beer may usually be better than this).

Bottle. Orangey amber body, big fluffy white head. (3+) Orange citrus aroma, muted resin. Moderate resin flavour has a fair dose of bitterness that is a bit astringent, not much in the way of malt to balance it out. Average palate is on the thin side. Alcohol is surprisingly noticable, I think partly because of the astringency of the hops. Shows potential but lacks coherence.

nice foamy head, nice orange colour, kinda murky. decent hop nose, great hop taste not too bitter, very sessionable ipa
