I am not usually a fan of english style ales but this one was very solid. Good hops up front which flowed into a very mellow but not that usual semi skunky british vibe. Very nice session beer, could probably enjoy 1 or 2 in a sitting before having to move on.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Bottle. Orangey body, good durable head. Not a big hop aroma, but there is some hop bite on top of the malt backbone. Green herbs, but I think I detected some citrus/pine at the end (the brewery website confirms Cascades). Not a West Coast IPA, but that’s okay. zebracakes (1217), Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Twelve oz. bottle, 10.03.09. Pours hazy orange gold, white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, fruity. The flavor has a unique hops character. This beer is malty, hoppy, dry and crisp. It’s not the best IPA, but I would drink it again. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Pours copper with a white head. Smells resiny and fruity with some citrussy hints. Tastes grassy and citrussy with a spicy finish. MrBeerFanatic (367), jamestown, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Pours a medium dark amber with a sticky foamy off white head. Aromas of caramel, apricot, and some citrus hops. Aroma is more on the malty side. Flavor isn’t much like the aroma with some floral and citrus hops, and a touch of apricot. Slightly dry and very bitter. Lacks depth of the flavors that are there. You can taste the hops, but they don’t stand up the very bitter finish like they should leaving just an overpowering bitterness. pete4999 (166), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Bottle....Average IPA. Amberish-orange pour, cream white head that lasts. Hoppy on the nose, slightly citrusy...grapefruits and the like. Pretty sweet, not as hoppy as I would have liked. BrockLanders (751), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Bottle from a gas-stop food store in Oneida NY. Hazy amber pour.....small whitish head. Light hop nose....maybe some citrus, a hint of malt. Flavor light in spice, hop, and malt.......all are somewhat off in character. Reminds me of a middling homebrew....meh. I’m a bit disappointed. Bitterness in the end is all that reminds me of an IPA. Feel free to skip this one. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Slightly hazy, medium brown body with a quick creamy off-white head. Bitter citrus rind flavour has some grass hints. Medium body. Quite strongly bitter, in that over-the-top realm.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Middle Ages ImPaled Ale is a slightly cloudy light amber ale with a dense, lumpy, splotchy off-white head that has excellent retention and lacing. It has a juicy, spicy, slightly sweet aroma. It almost smells like honey. It’s medium bodied and maybe a touch watery, but it’s smooth and the finish is dry. The flavor is well balanced between sweet and dry. It’s grainy and bready, fruity and citrusy, with a sweet, spicy aftertaste. It’s easy drinking.
