Bottle. Clear reddish brown pour under a tight dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and toffey. Bittersweet chocolate up front with layers of mollasses, coffee, vanilla and over ripe peaces backed up with firm backstop of hops. Rich texture and a sweet finish.

Clear deep brown coloured body with ruby highlights and a nice tan head. Aroma of roaste malt, nuts, caramel, toffee, nutmeg and a light dose of hops. Medium-bodied; Strong nuttiness up front with some malt and light spice behind .Aftertaste shows some nuts, nutmeg, roastie malt flavours and a bit of alcohol. Overall, not such a great beer and not a great scotch in my mind...it lacks a lot of complexity, flavour and of course - originality. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 02-May-2007.

Bottle thanks to ElJefe: Pours a transparent dark copper mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of earthy, lightly sweet caramel malt and a hint of peat. Starts fairly full bodied with a slightly tart, drier, earthy balance. Slightly warming finish is a touch too bitter for the style.
