Bottle sampled with stegosaurus. Pours black in color with a nice tan head. Aroma of caramel, fruity esters, and smoke Taste was much sweeter than aroma with brown sugar, caramel malt and a touch of molasses . Medium to full bodied with a nice dry finish.

22oz - I didn’t think of this much at first. a lot of sweetness with a fake smoke taste. As it warmed however the flavors got more developed. It isn’t something I’d run back to, but my first impressions were really off here.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma of fruit, alcohol, caramel, and smoke. The flavor is deep, some smoke, sweet fruitiness (dark fruit), alcohol provides a nice kick, caramel, and slight roasting. Great body, good brew.

[bottle, 9%] Pours a reddish, dark brown color with a nice tan head. Aroma is dark and sweet, surprisingly hoppy, with a touch of smoke. Fruity. Flavors emphasize the sweet malts, with molasses and caramel. Finishes with some nice complexity, whiskey and alcohol warmth. Thanks to Jah (Noth) for this one!

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with no freshness date, sampled at a cellar temperature in a snifter. Poured a reddish hued dark mahogany with a foamy, creamy light tan head that settled in a bubbly, sudsy lacing. Aromas of bubble gum, fruity esters, sweet sugary malts, molasses and caramel, and a touch of earth. Good medium carbonation and a crisp, dryish, slick, creamy smooth medium-full bodied mouthfeel. Smooth malty taste, toasted grains, caramel and molasses, a very light touch of peat, a mild fruitiness, earthy hops with a soft bitterness towards the end, a soft fusel alcohol that is warming in the back of the throat, and a dry nutty banana yeastiness, sweet maltiness in the finish. This a very enjoyable Scotch Ale, tasty and balanced, smooth sipping drinkability with a sneaking alcohol presence, a delight.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours awesome deep ruby with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of roasty pumpernickly malt, molasses, brown sugar, almonds, chocolate. Tastes roasty scotch malty, with some earthy peaty notes, nuts, brown sugar, port, and cabernet. On the sweet side.

The Kilt Tilter pours a dark brown murky hue with a large creamy light brown mostly diminishing head with virturally no lacing. The nose detected a light malty presence with a hint of alcohol. It didn’t have a overpowering aromatic presence. The light bitter taste ,with a strong presence of toasted malts, moves into a moderately sweet finish for an average duration. It’s light to medium in body with soft carbonation and leaves the palate slightly oily. The taste was much sweater than it’s aroma. It’s not as sweet as the killer bee but is still tasty.
