BeerGear (14), Hilton, New York, USA Mar 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice clear copper with medium head. Powerful musty aroma. Tastes of grapefruit, grass, and HOPS. A nice dry finish. I enjoyed this ale. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA Mar 31, 2007 Agggg! it deserves its name. Good stuff. Thick as syrup. One of these is all you need. But be careful. before youre done you might just find yourself making out with the pretty girl drawn on the label. I have a problem with that. Her and st. paulies girl. It gets awckward trust me, especially at a social event. zach8270 (1421), Henrietta, New York, USA Nov 4, 2006 (cask @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Dark copper color with a soapy tan head. Aroma is very hoppy and floral with some buttery caramel notes. Flavor is very hoppy with a creamy smoothness in the middle. The oak seems to have mellowed the middle a touch. The finish is hoppy with nice floral notes and a bitter aftertaste and some buttery flavors as well.
