Golden pour with a white head. Some faint aromas of spice and citrus. Spicy flavors that are very thin in the mouth. Terrible representation of a Belgian wit.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy golden color with a fizzy and thick white head. Aroma is very citrusy with a lot of lemon, orange zest, and coriander. Flavor is light and sour. Some wheat and a very light and watery citrus flavor. Finishes dry and grainy. Alcohol warms at the end. Flavor needs a boost.

bottle. pours golden yellow, head dissolves quickly. much more orange than your average beligian white. nice carbonation, small tight bubbles. malt and subtle spice comes through. slight alcohol edge. wouldn’t know its a beligian white except by name. as the beer warmed a soapy aroma came became promenant. not as bad as the flying bison pale but pretty unpleasant. boo.

Bottle from Foodery II in Philly. Pours gold with a a white head. Aroma of spice and biscuit. Very soft carbonation with a thin and "wet" texture. The malt profile on this is rather boring, and the spice is mostly coriander, and very little orange peel. This was drinkable, but not exciting enough to visit again.

Bottle. Sometimes I wonder why I bother picking up a Middle Ages beer to sample. Poured a cloudy copper pale color with thin head. Aroma is of spices, yeast, and small amount of diacteyl. Flavor was slightly bitter with spices, yeast and more diacteyl. Unpleasant...drainpour!

Pale golden coloured body with a very thin white head. Aroma of curacao, corn, wheat, yeast and a bit of fresh hops. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour up front with some hoppy tastes and yeast right behind. Aftertaste shows the malt and wheat nicely, but a bit too much alcohol. Overall, a decent attempt at a white, but not great. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 19-May-2007 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

On tap at Independence Brew Pub at Philly International Airport... Appears a transparent, slightly hazed pale gold with a small white cap that quickly fades out. Huge chunks of CO2 rise to the top. Smell is bland with notes of crisp wheat, notes of clove, and lemon. There’s nothing special going on here other than very light orange peel notes. Taste is of the mentioned aromas...yes, it’s still bland. A bucket of soapy water probably has more complexities going on than this. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, bland, slick with a dull carbonation that leaves a clumpy, clay like, doughy residue on the middle of the tongue. On a light note, it goes down like water. I could see this being tolerable on a hot day. The tap handle was nice I suppose...a swallow carrying a sprig of wheat in it’s mouth.
