| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 I actually enjoy this wit even though its a bit on the bittery coriander side and could use a more carbonated fuller body (like with druid fluid). It has a nice orange and lemony zest to its flavor, and I think I detect the alcohol content somewhere in the layers of malt. It seems like a good summer wit for 100 degree days (if we ever leave winter!). MattShizzle (385), Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Bottle - from sampler pack. Somewhat cloudy with golden color. Pretty bland actually. Wondering if the ABV value given is a mistake because it certainly doesn’t taste nearly that strong. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA

I always loved swallows to begin with. But this particular play on words makes me happy. I will deffinatly swallow wit again...and again....and again...till it’s gone.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2007 If the ABV is consistent, this is a silent but deadly mix. Maybe I had mine too cold, maybe it was just the batch, but this tasted like a few spices marinated in a sort of blech brew. I generally love the beers Middle Ages puts out, but this was decidedly tepid. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Pale golden yellow with a small fizzy white head. Bad retention and lacing, almost clear. Aroma is spiced with coriander and oranges peel and has notes of lemons. Flavor brings this wiht an English (ringworm or whatever yeast I think) feel to it. Prickly carbonation on the tongue, but overall bland and boring. Alcohol hidden well though. Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 24, 2006 Bottle. Aroma lemony wheat. Poured a darker yellow haze. Flavor was okay, nothing special wheat and lemon. Palate was okay as well nothing spectacular. Overall, it’s in a variety pack,enough said. eaglefan538 (2368), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 11, 2006 If you told me Avery attempted this and screwed up, I’d believe it. Amberish color to this "wit" beer, weak stinkin’ head, nil lacing, sad looking for the style. The aroma was plastic, ginger spices, and lemons. Flavor was ginger (like a spice beer not like a wit), lemongrass, maybe some cinnamon as well, just nasty. A little wheat under it all, but mouthfeel was acidic, just not good. After three of them, MA hasn’t impressed me w/ a brew yet. I’m concerned that I’ve got two or so others sitting in the fridge. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 3, 2006 12 oz bottle from Table and Vine, Northampton MA (September 2006) sampled from a Duvel glass at cellar temperature. Faintly hazy, yeast dark gold-amber with a thin decaying head and little in the way of lacing, jeez this doesn’t really look right....and on the nose, not much better with a very sweet, syrupy, sort of lemon cake drenched in in vanilla liqueur....with a little warmth, faint touches of coriander and grains of paradise appear but don’t help the sogginess much....on the tongue surprisingly it’s fairly dry though some sweetness appears midpalate.....starts out fairly full but carbonation quickly thins out the body and gives it a soda-like finish....nice biscuity-caramelly malts help keep this from utter disaster but the finish is a wreck and I certainly can’t recommend this as a wit (or anything).
