| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 17, 2006 Pours a blonde foggy body with cascading bubbles that leave a thick off-white head. The smell is wheat, orange, must, cherry, and grass what a wonderful nose. The taste starts wheat malty no real wheat twang mostly a sweet bready feel on the palate, some citrus spiciness also comes into play. The carbonation is medium-heavy just to refresh this brew on your tongue. In the finish there is a slight hoppy bite but very faint. This is malt heavy but great taste, nose, and overall refreshing. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2004 It’s a pleasure to be the first rater of this solid Witbier. I had this on tap at the brewery in a 5 oz. sample. Citrus orange aroma with some coriander, but not too harsh either. Crisp aroma. Appearance is appropritate with it being a cloudy blonde with a decent sized white head. Orange citrus to start with with a nice fizzle. Finish is what really makes this beer. Smooth and malty towards the middle with a nice little hop kick at the end to draw you back for more. Quite enjoyable and a solid new offering. Unfortunately, it has the cheesiest name ever. chronictonic (404), Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2005 on tap at greylodge - a better than average u.s. wit. mild spiciness with some hints of orange, but not as refined as a Hoegaarden. Good hot summer beer, but lacks a bit when compared to other wits. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 6, 2006 Bottle. Pours a yellow gold with no head. Nose is a spicey lemoney scent. Flavor is very nice for a wit. Refreshing, citrus character, almosty a sweet light caramel, with a ice coriander spice in the background. I’m n ot sure why this didn’t get rated higher other than an absence of carbonation, but I thought this was very enjoyable. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 13, 2007 I actually enjoy this wit even though its a bit on the bittery coriander side and could use a more carbonated fuller body (like with druid fluid). It has a nice orange and lemony zest to its flavor, and I think I detect the alcohol content somewhere in the layers of malt. It seems like a good summer wit for 100 degree days (if we ever leave winter!). emobassfoo (178), Webster, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Notes: Light blond colored body with hardly any head; but crystal clear (I like the label art so an extra point for that). Buttery wheat aroma... not much else, but what’s there is pleasant smelling. Tastes like buttered toast with some spices on top! I love the heavy use of imported English ingredients. Another Middle Ages beer that slips down the throat with no provocation. Really easy to drink. Makes me wonder if that 7.1% is accurate... guess I could drink a few in a row and see what happens. Overall, this is yet another great offering from the brewers at Middle Ages, and definitely lived up to its expectations MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
