This is my first experience with this brewery . Cloudy orange with little head. Light hop aroma. Light body with light hop flavour. Side bitters on the tongue. Quite watery however nice and refreshing and non offensive.

Aroma is rather light with some hints of hops and a touch of sweetness. I couldn’t really identify what the sweetness was. Flavor is dry at the front with a medium hop middle and a touch of floral and citrus at the end. Kind of thin-bodied and a little watery, but not too bad otherwise. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 9, 2006 Thin off-white head on a fairly bright yellow-orangey beer. Faint, slightly musty hops in nose, malts, tropical fruit. Not much flavour at all, and far too thin in body. Not bitterness, but a stangely numbing astrigency in the finish, with some stale bread and metallic notes. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 8, 2006 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with shadey, thanks Shane!) The first bottle I tried of this several months ago was exceptionally strong with diacetyl, so I acquired a new bottle. This time, it’s still there, but not nearly with so much presence. Here, the flavor is fruity, nutty and slightly buttery with a moderate bitterness from English-tasting hops. In fact, I’d say it’s the hops that gives this beer the majority of its flavor. Hoppy, slightly fruity aroma, not really picking up much butteriness though. Light-medium bodied with a rather drying but slick mouthfeel. Golden amber color with a slight haze and a short-lived, off-white head that leaves no lacing. A purely routine American-made version of an English Pale Ale, a beer that does nothing for me, which means it’s not offensive to me either. Aroma of sweet apple cores, scorched wheat and faint stale hops and malt, maybe orange peel - this is a pale ale??? Taste is like iced tea, tang and Molson Canadian admixed - not good. Fizzy, metallic mouthfeel - treat it like a beer shandy and I guess it’s drinkable.
