Smell is roasted malty flavors, some chocolate, and some coffee. Taste is smooth and rich with a medium body. Not too thick, and pretty easy to drink. A little bt of a sour taste that was pretty good. I liked it, a pretty unique porter. buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA

Cause if this beer is any marker then the should stay away from each other. This beer was a mess when I tried it last night on tap at the Hop Devil Grill. It poured deceptively enough - black with a small head. But the smell was like a soury lactose thing with some roastiness but barely. Taste was similar. It was watery and thin. I have noticed that Middle Ages tries to mix things up (i.e. Triple Crown) but this was bad. Didn’t even finish the pint. I like the idea of a Scotch/Porter but bad execution.
