Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet and very malty with notes of caramel and pumpernickle bread. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of pumpernickle bread combined with a light alcohol tickle on the palate, and also a light note of metal from the alcohol, leading to a bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Transparent brown/black with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and licorice. The flavour is sweetish with notes of roasted malt, licorice, hints of coffee and light citrussy bitterness. The body is rather thin, but the finish is surprisingly long. Thank you Coldbrewky for this one. 2431

Nearly opaque with only the faintest red light coming through. Has a thick well-lacing tan head. Sweet caramel, light peat and roasted malts fill the aroma. I'd agree with Clark VV that this seems confused. It's a little thin with an initial Scottish ale flavor, finishing more like a porter with roasted chocolate. This could probably make two really good beers if the two were separate. A novel idea nonetheless, and still quite tasty.
