Commercial Description:
Cellar aged, subtly complex and deceptively strong. Using two of the old world's brewing traditions, we have combined British ingredients and methods with Belgian ale qualities.

Sweet aroma, malty, belgianish aroma, some spice. Almost clear dark orange small head retains. Alcohol aroma semi gasolinesque. Taste is buttery, malty, oily, hoppy gasoline. Not that good for MA.

(Rating #1310)

Pours a fogged amber gold with little head. Nose is very slightly sweet with a miniscule metallic tone to it. Also a bitter edge to it as well. Flavor is a bit tangy sweet with a slight bitter edge on the back of your tongue. Touch of dough there, but the bitter edge cuts into that and cuts it out after a short while. Feel is thicker on the liquid and good on the level of bubble. Overall this is a decent tripel, but I feel like that bitter dough edge to it kind of cuts in too harshly and detracts. One thing is for sure though: at 10.2% abv I didn’t feel it or taste it at all.

Pale amber with almost no head, fruity aroma, fruity flavor, more like a wine, slight amount fo hops in the slightly dry finish, not a beer i would recomend or buy again. Not Belgian, not English, not that good.

Poured a clear effervescent amber with a fizzy off-white head which dissipated completely. Aroma is strong and fruity with some ctirus notes but also some nasty buttery diacetyl. Taste is strong with some notes of citrus, lots of alcohol, then with some nasty gumball-ish esters, some bad diacetyl buttered popcorn, some bandaid-ish flavors. The strength of this beer is probably the only reason it has any depth of flavor at all. Even so, the strength of this beer is perhaps hurting it more than helping, causing too much sloppy alcohol dryness. A poorly made belgian, chock full of off flavors and sloppy alcohol. I’ve thought some Middle Ages stuff was okay, but this sucks.

Hazy orangish stuff with minimal head. Aroma of apricots, sourness and alcohol. A bit of hoppiness in the palate along with the sour-fruitiness. Not bad.
