clear gold, light foamy white head. aroma of honey and earth with some malt. flavour starts sweet with some bready malt and booze, goes a little tart and orangy. no very tripel-ish or brittish. doesn’t do it for me. JohnC (2279), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 4, 2005 This brew pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. The flavor is slightly sour, kind of like a cross between grapefruit and orange. At aany rate, it doesn’t work for me. The aroma is musty. Not a very good tripel SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 20, 2005 This pours a small, frothy, off white head that is supported by a hazy medium yellow/orange body.
Fruity, funky, Belgian aroma that lead into a sweet fruity flavor that finishes nicely with some dryness and a bit of alcohol. Not bad really and a bit different.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 3, 2005 Pours a hazy orangey-gold with a snow-white, very thin head. Some light lacing. Smell is bitter, like tea leaves. Funky and fruity.
Tastes of funky, fruity flavors. Some brett type flavors. That Ringwood yeast I learned to love in Maine. Sour and spicy. Hints of alcohol and bitter hops. Big bodied beer and lightly sticky in the mouth. OK, a tripel like I’ve never tasted before. It’s a wierd mix and not very drinkable but I think it works and would be interested to see how it ages.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 1, 2005 I’m a bit lost with this beer. If I read the label right, Middle Ages is a upstate New York brewery producing "British style" Begian Tripel. Do the Brits even brew Tripels? I know other New York breweries produce Tripels, but the UK? Anyway this beer has a heavy butterscotch flavor, could ringwood yeast be used in fermentation? After sampling Tripel Crown I was left with more questions than answers. jsquire (2107), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2005 This pours with a golden orange color and a quickly dissapating white head. The nose reminded me of candied orange peels. Fairly thick mouthfeel. Lots of caramel sweetness and butterscotch, with noticable yeast flavors. Finish is a little peppery hot. Overall, not a bad american version of an English twist on a Belgian style Trippel. Oakes (8101), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 7, 2005 Golden-amber colour. Bright. Aroma shows plasticy phenols, hitns of malt, apple and a bit of alcohol. Fairly hot with lots of sticky residual sugars and plastic overtones. Nothing in there to make me want to drink it again.
