mahogony color w/ a fluffy off white head well laced. A fairly light aroma in an imperial some citrus hop and strawberry a good amount of sweet. Fairly light palate smooth very lightly oily. Even bitter pine flavor hints of fruit that I think are strawberry and a light maltiness. Decent beer but not very big for an IIPA

Pours dark amber with a big off white head. Pleasant citrus hop aroma. Taste is full, malty, citrus hops. Caramel sweetness. Big malt, decent hops.

The best beer that I tried at Sippin by the River on Sunday. Nice dark red color and slight fruity aroma. Great flavor - highly recommended.

Poured dark amber with a nice tan head. Resembles the Bear Republic Hot Rod Rye. Aroma is more malty then hoppy with graitfruit, caramel, citrus and courant. There were hints of bourbon in the aroma and taste along with cranberry. Aftertaste lingers a bit too much. Nice touch of vanilla on the palate. I will have to have this back to back with the Bear Republic one of these days because I am detecting a lot of similarities. Good beer.

Dark amber/brown, short head, average lacing. Hoppy and sweet aroma. Very malty tasting for an IIPA with caramel and sweet fruit flavors, hops were subdued, woody.

Thanks to Santa for this one (7/05)! Poured a hazy garnet color with light amber hints at the edges. Quickly dissipating head with minimal lacing. The aroma had lots of fruit (orange, dates, cherries), some spices (nutmeg, and cinnamon came to mind), and some faintly spicy hops. Interesting and full with bourbon notes. Also reminded me of a winter ale. As for the taste, nothing like it smelled. Some dark fruit (cranberry?) but only quickly at the beginning. What greats you next are mostly pine and spicy hops and grainish alcohol. After taste is not my fav, heavy on the citrus peal. Body if full and dryish. Overall, I was a bit torn. Nice appearance and aroma but I did not enjoy the flavor as much as would have thought.

Deep mahogany, bubbly tan head. Nose has lots of hops, deep caramel, quite bready. Big beer, very hoppy, loads of grapefruit, balanced with toffee and caramel. Big and hefty, really nice stuff. Thanks to bkelley68 for this one.
