A muddy dark brown color followed by a big head. Taste was different from most DIPA’s. Very malty, raisons, minor amount of hops. I swear I tasted a little chocolate. Definetly some caramel in there. Average body and carbonation. A unique beer. Thanks mike! sonicstylee (13), cayuga, New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2008 In short: A big rich body and tasty resinous IIPA. Heavy and excellent.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh day of purchase
The look: Very dark ruby (almost mahogany) body topped by a medium beige head
In long: This one doesn’t hold back on the maltiness. Very rich caramel in this nourishing filling body with a side of crisp dried red fruits. Tasty hops that are coniferous and citrusy but especially very resinous. Light peppery notes here and there. In the same vein but superior to the Ithaca Ten I had a day or two before. Kick-ass IIPA for those looking for something more substantial than hop-juice and alcohol. An totally unexpected pleasant surprise from Middle Ages. With a name that reminds us why sometimes we usually don’t like having women around and a picture that reminds us why we usually do. hopson (595), Williamsville, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 8, 2008 22 oz-ruby in color, and rich in flavor- nice spicy pine hop character with an initial cleanser like sharpness that was not all that great. Thankfully, as the beer warmed, that sharp after taste faded into a smooth and well balanced double ipa. Would go to again. Slipstream (777), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 2, 2008 Updated: Sep 3, 2008Full aroma of hops and grain, with a little fruit and flwers too. Cute, sexy wench on the label. Big head and lace. This is a dark IPA with full-on piney, grapefruity hops. The mouthfeel is tangy and tingly, but still soft and mildly carbonated. The 8% alcohol is not obvious. Wail on, Waling Wench! You are a 4-pointer and a studly brew indeed.
