| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 7, 2009 Pours a dark cloudy nut brown color with a thick initial sudsy head that fades to a thin one. The nose is full of dark malt and a blend of citrus hops. The flavor is extremely robust and has a lot of initial hop bite. It is semi sweet with a roasted barely finish. It leaves a nice roasted finish on the tongue and sides of the mouth. Overall it has great carbonation, full bodied, and great hop flavor. The appearance is also nice with the streaks of head down the sides of the tulip glass.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2009 The appearance is light brown with an average head. It reminds me of a root beer. The aroma is quite nice with loads of pine and grass hops. There is also caramel malt. The taste is like the aroma but the finish is astringent. The palate is smooth. Overall a well crafted beer. r464 (286), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Not a bad strong IPA. A bit darker than I expected. A bit of fruitiness, but the hops seemed understated. mansquito (838), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Pours a brown color with a nice looking tan head. In the aroma there are hops, some caramel, and some weedsmell (yeah I know that is kind of weird way to describe it, but that is the first thing I noticed when smelling it) Taste is hearty and full, with a good amount of hops, but they don’t dominate. They share space with the malts. Nice body and good texture. Good beer and it was cheap at the bar I got it. Birdiebeagle (807), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2009 Bottle Pours a murky brown very iced tea like with a frothy tan head. The head lasts well and produces good lacing. Has a good aroma with subtle hoppiness. Also has some caramel and a cleanliness to it. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is good. Has nice hops with a deepness. This reminds me of my first German beer. Has a thicker texture. A medium body. Has a good finish with a good aftertaste. This is a real good beer. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Hazy, dark red brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. More rich roasted malt in the flavour with toasted fruit skins. Full body. Nice solid beer.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Pours a darker brown, with reddish tint. Light tan head. Smell isn’t overpoweringly hoppy. Smells like dark fruits, maybe a little caramel. Smells more like a Belgian than an IPA. Doesn’t really taste like an IPA at all either....I love the flavor. Reminds me of a strong brown ale. Little bit of citrus too. Hard to really pin down the style, but it’s a very delicious beer. Semi-sweet, semi-hoppy...still pretty good though.
