Commercial Description:
Voluptuous yet elegant, Epluche-culotte Trippel exudes its free spirit with orangey-amber color topped with a creamy white head. The aroma is sweet, spicy and earthy. The addition of Curacao (bitter) orange peel and whole coriander infuse color, citrus and spice while a special Belgian yeast strain imparts other enticing flavors and aromas during fermentation. Bottle conditioning creates the right effervescence for a perfectly heady experience. In the style of a Belgian Trippel, Epluche-culotte is delicious yet spirited. Originally named Extreme Polar White Bier, it got nicknamed "Panty Peeler" . We say it in French: E'pluche-culotte. The joyride awaits.

Exquisite, intriguing and complex aroma, full of heady flowers and sweet fruits, with hints of honeydew melon, pear, dried apricot, pineapple, mandarin orange, turbinado sugar, anise, coriander and in the background, a faint, green, leafy, somewhat minty note. Dark amber color with golden highlights, faintly hazy, and with a subsiding, fine and lightly creamy head. Flavor profile is lightly sugary and estery to start with suggestions of banana, pomegranate and clove, followed by a mild peppery spiciness and influx of light acidity, and with a sweet, lightly floral, nicely balanced and lasting finish. Certainly full-bodied but with a lush, creamy and smoothly effervescent mouthfeel. Alcohol is nigh undetectable. Yeast pour added some doughy touches here and there. Incredible stuff.

22oz bottle from hannont on 5/8/08/ Pours a cloudy yellow amber color. Excellent aroma, of a little bit of banana, some corriander. really nice. Taste is sweet, easy to drink. A bit orange zest melds with the sweetness. Excellent. Truly one of the best Belgian triples. A pleasant surprise. I feel no qualms about rating this much higher than the average.

I really enjoyed this, very traditional, and true to style. A nice tribute to regional Belgian styles, and this brewery has it in spades. Lots of effervescent lighter fruits in this one, pears, grapes, and a light yeastiness, which mellows into a nice creamy mouthfeel. Very drinkable, finishing very dry on the palate.

22 oz. bottle. Produces a decent head atop a cloudy orange body. The orange is clearly noticeable on first aroma. This beer is surprisingly smooth and mellow considering its ABV. Not a huge fan of this variety but this stuff is OK.
