Sep 22, 2009 Bottled. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of soy sauce, roasted malt, alcohol, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, wood, soy sauce, herbs, and some coffee, leading to a very bitter, roasted, and woody finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Sep 22, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a vague redish glare with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty with a light breadish note. Mild chocolate and breadish roasted malt flavoured. Mild caramelish touch. Mild chocolate flavoured finish. Smooth and light roasted.

Sep 17, 2009 22 oz. bottle - huge thanks to hannot for the bonus brew!! dark, cola brown pour with thin tan head; roasty with tons of candy malt; fizzy, rich, yeasty with sweet candy and dry finish; shade of smoke too; chocolate, toffee and very soft; lovely mix of yeast, dark fruit, chocolate and coffee goodness; yummy!!

Sep 6, 2009 Trade with hannont... thanks man! Pours dark brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma of toffee, caramel, chocolate and raisins. Flavor is caramel, chocolate and roast malts. Pretty good but not my style.

May 27, 2009 22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a creamy tan head that settles to a ring. Nose is chocolate and molasses fading to dark roast with a touch of grass. Medium body with prominent prickly carb that detracts from the mouthfeel. Taste is coffee, chocolate, plum and citrus. An interesting combination. A touch of smoke in the finish.

Apr 23, 2009 Bottle at a Club-Tasting (THX to You). Clear dark brown - offwhite head. Burned, berries, light sweetness, yeasty, dried fruits, soya, peppery, licorice, spicy, fruity, apples. OK - a bit strange.
