Medium to heavy complex sweet dark fruit flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish. This is a standout brew. RollinHard (761), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2007 Pours a dark brown. Aroma is strong, strange, and tough to decipher. Rather meaty, with some licorice, prunes and a spice presence. Odd, but balanced. Tastes of chocolate, spiciness (yeast? cloves?), light roast coffee. Finishes like a yeastier, fruitier/spicier robust porter would. Balanced, full, and interesting enough to keep me wondering. When the glass was done, I still didn’t quite know what the hell I just drank. I’d say that’s something worth seeking out. hopdog (5617), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
