On tap @ the brewery. Dark roasted grain aroma with chocolate and caramel notes. Dark brown almost black with a medium long lasting light brown head. The flavor is sweet with a bitterness derived from the chocolate, you also get just a tiny sour flavor from the yeast. Smooth mouth feel from this medium bodied beer, a bit watery. This is a solid stout the chocolate adds a richness and a nice mild bitterness.

Bottle thanks to AmEricanbrew. The smell is roasty, sweet, chocolate, coffee, and ironically some earth. The look is black in color, with a tan head. The taste is sweet, malts, roasty, chocoate.

[1946-20090116] 22floz bottle. Chocolate kiddie plastic balls aroma with some baked chicken breasts. Black body with a long-lasting creamy dark brown head. Thick chocolatey roast malt flavour has mild leafy notes, a long roast finish and a mild coffee aftertaste. Full thick body. Solid, hardly boozy, good.

Beer thanks to AmEricanbrew. Nose is dark chocolate, earth, cocoa powder (nes quick / chocolate milk), and sour milk. Flavor is a weaker version of the nose. Creamy but thin mouthfeel. Hmm.

Bottle thanks to americanbrew. Pours a dark black with tan head. Aroma of some dark roast and coffee. Flavor is very much the same with some added chocolate. Mouth feel is medium-heavy body with medium carbonation, kinda silky. Overall, I spilled this beer all over my brand new tasting notebook...it was good!
