bitbucket (1536), Kirkland, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2008 22. Thanks, Derkruk! Pours a cloudy dark gold. Gym socks, grass and caramel aroma. Peppery finish with a metallic aftertaste. Good idea on paper, but I’m not so sure about the execution. after4ever (1696), Brier, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2008 22. Thanks, Derkruk! Big dunky wet grass and fruity funk nose. Slightly creamy body on the high side of medium. Huge spicy, peppery, and grassy mid-palate. Long dry mineral finish. Great, highly unusual stuff. Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA Jun 7, 2008 Bottle. Dark yellow, nice head and lace. Starngely the aroma is more yeasty than malty. Flavor is unique as well with fresh hops and what tastes like Munich malts. Too bad this pils is on the sticky, sweet side and not a beer you’d wanna drink a lot of. SuzyGreenberg (900), Seattle, Washington, USA May 16, 2008 22 oz. bottle - pours a cloudy, pale orange with thin white head; aromas of wheat, grass, lemon, fruit and stale malts; flavors are yeasty and malty with grainy aftertaste; slight spice and dry finish; not too bad, just not quite my thing BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Apr 5, 2008 I thought this was great, always been a big fan of this style. Even if it was a little overhopped, this was still a great thirst quencher, I mean it really hits the spot, and is not overpowered in other areas, and you can really sit down and enjoy it. The nose has a wonderful fresh citrus quality, like cutting into a lemon, but the body is quite aggressive to, and in the end it all comes together.
