| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 22, 2008 22oz via trade from a gentleman from the other site. Big orange pour with a very lively, crisp carbonation. Interesting fruity notes in the aroma, distinctively mango at times, citrus elsewhere. There’s certainly a pretty good malt flavor here, and the body is nice, but the taste is dominated by pepper and floral creaminess, a full tasting brew with a long dry finish. One of the better, if not the best imperial pilsners out there. SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 7, 2007 Draft: was labeled 9%abv instead of the 7 listed here. Poured crystal clear yellow gold color. Medium white head. The aroma is a little sugary alcohol and hops. The flavor is really hoppy. The hoppiest pilsener ive had. Tons of spicy hops and a slightly sweet malt crispy finish. Not everyones taste but i dont usually even like pilseners. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2008 I thought this was great, always been a big fan of this style. Even if it was a little overhopped, this was still a great thirst quencher, I mean it really hits the spot, and is not overpowered in other areas, and you can really sit down and enjoy it. The nose has a wonderful fresh citrus quality, like cutting into a lemon, but the body is quite aggressive to, and in the end it all comes together. awaisanen (1279), Irvine, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2007 From a 22oz Bottle. Crystal clear pour of pale gold with a moderate layer of fizzy white head. All hops and no malt. Aromas of blue spruce and white grapefruit pith create an herbaly fresh, dank bouquet. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with an adequately dry finish. Lots of clean hop flavors assault the palate with a lemony citrus bite. Just enough malt sugars to prevent this from tasting like hop tea, but not enough to muddle the Amarillo flavors. Simple and straightforward, but good. unclemattie (2446), Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2008 22oz bottle. Hazy gold color, off-white head. Aroma of fresh picked cherries. Flavor is sharp aged cheddar, maybe some beef broth. Saaz crotch. Pleasant bready finish with some oily hop bitterness. puzzl (2660), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Updated: Oct 30, 2007Very nice pour, a deep gold with wonderful lacing and a lasting head. Aroma is earthy, mushrooms and cheese, british hops. Balanced and rich flavor, perfectly displaying its old world hops and gentle malt. Really this is much more like an english strong than a euro strong, although *some* pils notes are still there, such as some grassiness in the flavor. Hugely drinkable. Nicely done.
