| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Bottle generously opened at hellbilly’s 5th of July tasting. Pours golden in color with a sugary white head of foam. A tripel in appearance only, it seems. Much closer to a golden. Smells and tastes mildly of banana, pear, and caramel against a backdrop of cough syrup - which I’m starting to find in anything from Midnight Sun. dkachur (2376), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Pours a murky orange color with lots of floaties, though I got the last of the bottle. Medium head with good head retention and lacing. Aroma is bready and spicy with big citrus notes and a bit of a sharp, spicy herbal note, candi sugar and cotton candy. Taste is bready, citrus, lots of spice and herbal notes, candi sugar, cotton candy, toffee. Tart dry fruity finish, getting mightily close to a mild funkiness. Medium bodied. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2009 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. This was labeled as Midnight Sun Panty Peeler. Pour is hazed golden, slightly dark golden. Very active carbonation builds up a smallish white head. Aroma of Belgian yeastiness, sharply sweet maltiness, orange peel citrus and a fair amount of additional "spiciness". I picked up coriander, and some Champagne type element. The taste follows the nose quite closely. The yeast, sweet malt, orange citrus and spice all have their turn, and are nicely balanced. Palate is above average carbonation, that goes along with the Champagne type taste quite nicely. Medium body, brief finish. All in all a different, and tasty Trippel. danielcurtis81 (905), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 18, 2009 Panty Peeler poured Golden orange with a big fluffy white head. Citrusy nose. Strong orange peel and coriander flavors. Medium body. A good brew if your into orange curacao flavored beer. Not my favorite from MSBC, but it’s a good brew for the fruit beer people, who dig oranges. robforbes (1099), Bremerton, Washington, USA
