Pours a clear yellow with a good sized white fluffy head that leaves a good lace. Nice sweet malt nose with very little hop aroma. Taste is about the same, nice malts and light hop bitterness. This has a very nice body, and a clean crisp taste. A very nice summer day drink. savnac (431), Palmer, Alaska, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2009 22 oz bomber. Bright clear golden yellow with a fluffy pure white long lasting head. Sweet bready malt aroma with a spicy hop scent. The flavor starts sweet and then the bitterness comes in and finishes long. Light to medium in body with an active carbonation that lightens the beer and leaves a crisp clean mouth feel. This is a really good Pilsener, hoppy than most but that’s what makes it stand out. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 9, 2009 Appearance: Pours a clearish, dully hued golden body with a tall, generous, white head.
Smell: Slightly sweetish nose of pilsener and light pale maltiness with a suggestion of grain-laden bread. Though let us not forget the Noble hops smelling of dried flowers and spice.
Taste: Pils and light pale malts with some crisp grainy slants to it and a middling amount of general sweetness. Spicy, floral, lightly earthy hops with a medium amount of imparted bitterness. Finishes crisp and dry with a bit of that hop spice riding out beyond the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: Just a good, solid pilsner to close out the hot summertime with! shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

6/21/2009: Midnight Sun Brew Crew 2009 Fahrwasser (Fairway Pilsner) pours a dirty golden color with a good level of carbonation supporting the fluffy white head. This beer has a fruity pear aroma. The flavor rivals any traditional Pils. It stats lightly malty and and sweet with a yeasty/slightly doughy middle that is followed a crisp finish that is grassy (notes of hay) and delicately spicy (white pepper?). This beer is fairly light (medium-light body) with a satisfying amount of bubbles and is quite refreshing. It is definitely a great beer for a hot Summer day!

10/25/2009: Midnight Sun Fahrwasser Fairway Pilsner... Aroma: Toasted grain; bland overall. Appearance: Hazy, dull pale yellow; thin off-white head; nice lacing. Flavor: Toasted grain; a touch of butter; mild to moderate bitterness that stick; dry finish. Palate: Fairly light-bodied. Overall: Much better when fresher; not holding up well at all and it has only been a couple of months since I last had it...

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Big thanks to Ira for another MSBC brew, poured into a pilsner glass.
It pours a clear golden with tons of bubbles streaming to the top and feeding a massive pillowy white head. The head recedes around the edges first, leaving a huge dollap of foam int he middle of the glass.
The aroma is a mixture of toasted bready malts and light fruits, mainly pears and apples. There’s is also some grassy hops in there, fresh cut grass almost. It’s definitely a little sweeter than I’m used to in the style and I liked that.
The taste is fairly light but very refreshing. The sweetness is dialed down a little bit with the toasted pale malts and light grassy hops dominating. The finish is crisp, dry and slightly bitter with the hops.
The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and highly carbonated. Definitely a fantastic brew to enjoy on a hot summer afternoon. I could drink a lot of this. Tmoney99 (4749), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear pale color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced flavor with a medium smooth balanced finish of moderate duration.
Good drinkable beer.
