AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Aug 18, 2009 Draft@ MSBC 08.13/14.2009. Clear ruby red color with a frothy tan head. Nice citrusy lemon, sour cherry aroma with vanilla . First taste is tart lemon and sour cherries, then smooth vanilla and wood which tempers some of the sourness. After a few sips the earthy Cab Sauv kicks in, leading to a dry spicy finish. More rounded and complex now than last year when i first had this. Fantastic aged sour. neepsntatties (280), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 15, 2009 Had this on tap at Midnight Sun’s new digs on Aug. 14th, ’09. Colour... deep, ruddy garnet with an initially frothy head that rapidly dissipated. Nose... plenty of vinegar, brett and cherries. Palate... nice burst of sour cherry (like biting into a slice montmorency cherry tart) , acetic, some cab sauv. coming through, as well as the brett, nice balance between tart and sweet and a lovely dry, almost tannic finish. Pleased that I was able to get to ANC when this was being released! Aggy360 (115), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA Aug 13, 2009 On tap at brewery. Pours a dark brown with red hues, and a tan head that fades quick. Strong aroma of cherries, and Brett notes. The sour cherry and Brett are up frount and taste great. It’s tart but balances out with a sweetness. The finish is dry. There is a creamy medium body with a good amount of carbonation. This is a really good sour ale. savnac (392), Palmer, Alaska, USA Jun 22, 2009 On tap @ the brewery, they had this keg squirreled away for over a year. Brown/red with ruby edges, and a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is cherries, caramel, and a brett funk. Tart and sour in your face with a well balanced sweetness that keeps the pucker factor in line. Medium body, sparkling almost champagne mouth feel with a dry finish. The beer was served way to cold, but once I warmed it up the flavors came out and were much more balanced. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Apr 21, 2009 Updated: May 9, 2009

CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 19, 2009 Transparent dark copper mahogany pour has a spotty-lacing light tan head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel and fresh tart black cherries with nice oaky complexity. Body starts with good fullness for a sour with the appropriate amount of carbonation, sweet Belgian maltiness, vinous oak and assertive tart fruity notes before a sweet-tart finish. An enjoyable and well-balanced sour ale. BrianK (190), Livingston, New Jersey, USA Jul 28, 2008 Stone Sourfest. Pours dark brown. Sweet flavor with a tart follow up. Not the best sour i’ve ever had but not a bad beer by any means. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Jul 28, 2008 Sampled at the Stone Sour Fest. Sour from the beginning. Aromas were tart fruit, grapes, cherry, berry. Flavors were similar with an acidic finish. Some wood flavors mixed in there too. Good stuff.
