Hazy banana. Rocky white head covers much of the liquid. Aroma is airy, yeasty, and full of apple and green banana. Hint of iron and grassy hops. Lively carbonation quickly expands. Bottle conditioned. Tangy, initially, but a swift wave of dryness cleanses the palate before crackery malt and a slick apple-like fruitiness take hold. Body is quite flabby due to the overt yeastiness. Slightly meaty, actually (autolysis?). Herbal hop accents impart a pleasant sharpness which aids in offsetting the flabbiness. Flowery hops prevail in the finish, though doughy yeast taints much of their brightness. Fairly well made, but a bit straightforward and far too yeasty.

Rating #3900... Bottle... O-Town Throwdown Part Tres... Cloudy light yellow ale with a small, frothy, white head. Decent retention. Tart, grainy aroma with subtle, fruity, banana and citrus esters. Tangy, grainy flavor with moderately pungent citrus notes... lemon and grapefruit (pulp, not rind nor pith). Light to medium-bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Thin, acidic finish. Brewed to style with a distinct Flanders influence.

Sampled at OTTD 3, not sure who brought it. Very cloudy straw color with light swirl of white head. Corny/grainy aroma with sweetness, but a mild aroma overall. Lightly carbonated with a very grainy malt-forward character. Not a lot of Belgain yeastiness in the flavor. Pretty basic.

Lightly clouded and light gold in appearance, with a modest frothy white head of moderate retention. The nose is mellow, with mild wheat, fresh citrus and light sugars. Soft and balanced. Esters are spicy. Mild banana peel and white pepper comprise the remainder. The flavor is soft and accomodating, with ample citric acidity and mild yeast, light fresh grain rounding out each sip. The finish is fruity and soft, clean and crisp. The mouthfeel is well carbonated, light bodied and playful. Good interpretation of a style that is often neglected in a diverse lineup and almost always executed poorly.

Pours clear, pale gold, with a chill haze and a dense, white head. The head rose no more than a half-inch before receding near the surface, leaving some decent lacework of strings and dots. Aromatics are estery and spicy, with undertones of tart citrus. Some light bannana with white peppercorns and lemon oil. Mouthfeel is spritzy and effervescent. Slightly creamy to start, followed by lively carbonation. Quenching and light. The pallet is laced with lemon zest, faint bitter orange peel, and a wheaty twang. Some light mettalic tinge fades after a few sips. Alcohol is nill and a nice balance of peppery spice keeps things interesting. The light tartness adds to the refreshing quality of the brew, without becoming laborious. Finishes light, crisp, and snappy, with quicky fading tartness. A brew that definately grows on you.

Bottle sampled on 9/15/07: Pours an effervescent hazy pale golden with a nicely-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet bready pale Belgian malt and a hint of light fruity esters. Starts fairly full and biscuity malty sweet with a touch of mild spices and a drier, thinner finish, with some light citrus balance. Fairly authentic and enjoyable.

Pours a cloudy light gold, with a small white head. Smells of some wheat characters, citrus fruits, and some malts. A little candy sugar in there too. Very Belgian in its flavors. Alot of that candy sugar shows up, and I still get that wheatiness to it too. I guess orange citrus would be the most prominent fruit I get in the taste. Decent little Belgian Ale. Not complex, or even very interesting, but drinkable.

Bottle at Logan’s Pre-GABF party. Yellow pour with a decent white head. Some spice and fruit on the aromas. Flavor was more bight fruit and some spice on the finish. My first Single Belgian style.... I think. Not bad.
